Laura Reznek Premieres New Song “Endeavours” on BBC Music Introducing
Kent-based Canadian singer-songwriter Laura Reznek released a new song “Endeavours” on November 29, 2024.
The song received its first play during BBC Music Introducing in Kent with Abbie McCarthy.
She recorded most of the song at her home in the Kentish countryside, and then Cellist Sam Rowe arranged the strings, which they multi-tracked together live in a country church in Laura's village, featuring Daniel Baxter on guitar; Martin Newbury on drums and Danny Cross on bass. Produced by Laura Reznek and Danny Cross.
The track is the follow-up to “Time in the World”, which was released back in February.
Laura Reznek said of the song, “Endeavours was an 'endeavour' to process the un-linear-ness of grief. It is an acceptance of a new reality and an ability to look back on past events with kindness but without rose-tinted glasses; attempting to stay grounded knowing that whilst things weren't always perfect, finding levity is still possible.”- Photo by Sewari Campillo
