mary in the junkyard Releases New Song “bear walk”
London-based indie-rock band mary in the junkyard, consisting of Clari Freeman-Taylor (vocals/guitar), Saya Barbaglia (bass/viola) and David Addison (drums), released a new song “bear walk” along with a music video on December 4, 2024.
The song is the follow-up to “this is my california”, which was released last month.
On the track, the band returns to their roots with a folk sound. Originally, the band started as a folk project by Clari Freeman-Taylor.
The track was written by Clari Freeman-Taylor, David Addison, and Saya Barbaglia. Produced by Craig Silvey.
The music video was directed by Herbie Bone.
The band said of the song, “bear walk is the story of someone trying to make their lover stay with them in their feral lifestyle. It is about the push and pull between wildness and conventionality, and was born from us playing some acoustic gigs over the summer.”- Photo by Herbie Bone
