WILDES & St Francis Hotel Announce New Collaborative EP “Kopfkino”, Share New Song “Are You Gonna Speak?”
London-based singer-songwriter WILDES and Irish producer St Francis Hotel have announced their upcoming collaborative EP “Kopfkino” will be released on February 19, 2025.
Their collaboration follows up WILDES' 2023 debut album “Other Words Fail Me”, which was produced by St Francis Hotel.
WILDES said of the EP, “Though regularly collaborating for various projects, we chose to come together for this EP because of our shared experience and grounding in the emotive meaning behind the songs. Exploring and getting lost in our own minds, being shut out of the minds of others, and trying to navigate the world at the behest of our subconscious.”
From the EP, the pair released the second single called “Are You Gonna Speak?” on December 4, 2024.
The song is the follow-up to the EP title track, which was released back in October.
The track was written by Declan Gaffney and Ella Walker. Produced by St Francis Hotel.- WILDES said of the song, “Drawing from the silence and suffocation that can surface towards the end of a relationship, 'Are You Gonna Speak?' is a plea for connection. Exposing difficult conversations but trying to inspire hope, it's a final cry for help before the moment ends for good.”
She shared on social media, “The second track made with the wonderful St Francis Hotel from our upcoming EP. This song is pretty dear to me, and I actually fucking love it even though it has brought me quite bad luck in love. Here's to shedding the light, having difficult conversations and loving anyway.” -
