Luke Sital-Singh Releases New Song “In Your Eyes”
Los Angeles-based British singer-songwriter Luke Sital-Singh released the fifth single called “In Your Eyes” from his upcoming fifth studio album “Fool's Spring” on November 29, 2024.
The new album is set to be released on February 21, 2025 via Nettwerk.
Luke Sital-Singh co-wrote the song with Matt Hales and produced it.
Luke Sital-Singh said of the song, “The idea with this track was: let's write a sad Abba song. I always want to feel like I'm pushing myself when I'm writing.”
He shared on social media, “EYE think you should go and listen to mEYE new song. It's called In Your Eyes and to promote it we had a giant eye ball made, which I wore on my head around the Barbican centre. I had a lovely day inhaling glue and paint fumes. Much recommended.”- The new album comprises 11 songs, featuring a guest appearance from Irish singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan, produced by Luke Sital-Singh.
The album penned when he moved halfway across the globe to Los Angeles just before the world shut down.
The album title means the tease of impending spring, of hope, only for winter to return again.
Luke Sital-Singh said of the album, “The poetry of thinking a dark time is over, only for it to return is something that resonates with the theme of the new album.” -
He continued, “This album was written in the hardest season of my life, as my wife and I struggled to begin a family. Now, as the album is being announced, my son rests in my arms. I feel the weight of how life has shifted-these songs, written before everything changed, now ring out in a new world. Most of the songwriting doesn’t speak directly to our pain, but it feels like gazing at an eclipse through a homemade viewer. I couldn’t face it head-on, yet it filled my vision, casting its shadow over every note, shaping the songs in ways I’m only just beginning to see.”
