Chloe Slater Premieres New Song “Fig Tree” on BBC Radio 1
Manchester-based singer-songwriter Chloe Slater premiered a new song “Fig Tree” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Tara Kumar.
The song is the second single since the 2024 EP “You Can't Put A Price On Fun”, following “Tiny Screens”.
The track was written by Chloe Slater and Jack Shuter. Produced by Shute and Iain Berryman.
The accompanying music video was directed by Ruby Harris.
Chloe Slater said of the song, “Fig Tree is an exploration of choice feminism and how it feels to be a woman in a society that frowns upon visible signs of aging. It’s an upbeat and uplifting song with a reminder to never pay too much attention to society’s unfair standards.”- She shared on social media, “I made this song with my pals Jack Shuter and Iain Berryman and I couldn’t be more proud of it. It is so close to my heart and i’m so grateful to have had such an amazing team for this release. Thank you to all of you guys for supporting me and helping me achieve my dreamssss I’m pinching myself mwah.”
