Sam Fender Releases Two New Songs “Wild Long Lie” & “Me And the Dog”
British singer-songwriter Sam Fender released two new songs “Wild Long Lie” and “Me And the Dog” on December 2, 2024.
The songs were taken from his upcoming third studio album “People Watching”, which is set to be released on February 21, 2025 via Polydor Records.
Two songs were written and co-produced by Sam Fender.
“Wild Long Lie” was co-produced by Joe Atkinson, Adam Granduciel, and Dean Thompson. “Me And the Dog” was co-produced by Joe Atkinson, Markus Dravs, and Dean Thompson.
Sam Fender shared on social media, “Tour is about to kick off in Dublin so thought we'd give you another tune from the new record.”
The new album is his first body of work in four years since the 2021 album “Seventeen Going Under.”
Sam Fender told Jack Saunders of BBC Radio 1's New Music Show about the album, “I guess the whole album's sort of a collection of stories, and it's a bit more outward pointing than I suppose 'Seventeen Going Under' was. So it's all about different, different people who I know and in my hometown. And it kind of felt like a great title.”- The album comprises 11 songs, which Sam Fender worked with American rock band The War on Drugs' Adam Granduciel in Los Angles.
Sam Fender said of working with Adam Granduciel, “I've been a huge fan of The War on Drugs for many years. And I'm gonna ask them. And then we ended up working with him. And I think it was like, I can get away with ripping him off if he's in the room. The ego a little bit, but I mean, he gets it, I mean, and he really, kind of he transforms the album in a way that I really didn't expect.” - source : Apple Music
