Greentea Peng Announces New Album “TELL DEM IT'S SUNNY”, Shares New Song “One Foot”
London-based singer-songwriter Greentea Peng has announced her upcoming sophomore album “TELL DEM IT'S SUNNY” will be released on March 21, 2024.
The album is her first LP in four years since the 2021 album “MAN MADE” and is the first project since the 2022 mixtape “GREENZONE 108”.
The album comprises 14 songs, produced by longtime collaborator Earbuds, alongside Samo, Nat Powers, and St.Francis Hotel.
Greentea Peng said of the album, “Tell em anything you want. Exploration of the self-political, the threads that make up this patchwork called life, all story, thought and emotion. All ups, downs, the ebb and flow. This album is the wave joining the cove, an exhale, the closing of a book. Collaged pieces of the soul chasing new pages. TELL DEM IT'S SUNNY, above the clouded path of self-enquiry.”- From the album, she released the second single called “One Foot” on November 29, 2024, following “TARDIS (hardest)”.
The track was written by Aria Wells, Declan Gaffney, Jonathan Adam Mills, and Nathaniel Powers. Produced by Declan Gaffney, Nat Powers, and Jon Mills.
The accompanying music video was directed by AboveGround (Greentea Peng and Alicia Stratford).
Greentea Peng said of the song, “One foot front and back again, the journey of perpetual longing. It's a mad tune, kinda simple but honest. My mind's a wild place, Lord knows I venture the stars to the trenches. Give thanks for it all.” -
