SOFY Releases New Song “desktop”
London-based singer-songwriter SOFY released the third single called “desktop” from her upcoming mixtape “Another Day In Paradise” on November 29, 2024, following “togethertogether” and “mine”.
The new mixtape is set to be released on March 7, 2025 via Chess Club Records.
The song is featured on the mix tape as the fifth track.
She co-wrote the song with Scott Verrill, Sophie Howes, and producer Edward Denholm.
SOFY said of the song, “It's about big feelings and big decisions, jumping the turnstile, the voice in ur head that tells you to dive into the deep end when you've only just got ur duckling 1 swimming badge. It marks a turning point in the storyline of the record after 'mine' and you now conveniently have chapters 3, 4 and 5 at your disposal.. so maybe you should listen in order and see if you can see a story developing. (I did this on purpose) Me, VZAVZ and Sophie Buckley made this trippy visualiser which perfectly feels like the battle I had with the voice in my head when I wrote this song”- The mixtape comprises 9 songs, produced by Edward Denholm.
SOFY said of the mixtape, “It's a chronological concept mixtape (9 tracks!!), and a true story - that's all I'm giving away for now. I'm also making my first ever cd and cassette for this one (in true mixtape fashion!!).” - source : Apple Music
