Becky Hill & MK Team Up for New Version of “Swim”
British singer-songwriter Becky Hill teamed up with American DJ MK to release a new version of “Swim” along with a music video on November 29, 2024.
This marks the third collaboration between Becky Hill and MK, following the 2016 “Piece of Me” and the 2018 “Back & Forth”.
The original version of the song is featured on Becky Hill's sophomore album “Believe Me Now?”, which was released bak in May.
The track was written by Daniel Thomas Clare, Dylan Lewis Nile May, Karen Poole, Kieron Mcintosh, Marc Kinchen, Rebecca Claire Hill, and Robert Harvey. The new version was produced by MK, Maur, and Mark Ralph.
MK said of the song, “Becky Hill; that’s my homie. We got history!! When she reached out over the summer to make ‘Swim’ into a club banger, I jumped at it.”- Becky Hill said of the song, “I had the title and the lyric ‘You used to answer straight away/Now you just let it ring.’ Then I went in [the studio] with Rob Harvey, who you'’ll know from co-writing hits like ‘Head & Heart’ by Joel Corry and MNEK. When we stared working together, I thought he was going to be this big-shot writer who was a bit arrogant. But he was just absolute compelete opposite and we fell in love with each other a bit—musically, it makes so much sense with me and him. I also wrote this song with [UK duo] Maur, who are incredible producers.”
