Regent Releases New Song “Don't Be Long”
Southampton-based rock band Regent, consisting of Ben Rooke (vocals), Chris Woolf (guitar/keys/piano), Ed Cesar (rhythm guitar), Luke Trundell (bass) and George Grattan (drums), released a new song “Don't Be Long” on November 22, 2024.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming third studio album “The Cognitive Revolution”, following “Stuck Like Glue” released back in August.
The new album is expected to be released in 2025.
The song received its first play during Radio X X-Posure with John Kennedy.
The track is an emotive tribute to a close friend of frontman Ben Rooke, with lyrics that urge them to search for silver linings during a particularly difficult time in their life. It was written by Ben Rooke.
Ben Rooke said of the song, “The song is about a close friend of mine who's been struggling with his health and was close to death this year...”- The band shared on social media, “It's a Beautiful song, one I'm proud of.... I'll be doing a little side project next year aswel to keep me double busy involving Beats... But we'll keep that quiet until the new year....”
