Pretty Jane Releases New Song “Quiet”
Nashville-based alt-rock band Pretty Jane, consisting of Trevor Dalrymple (vocals), Luca DiVergilio (bass) and Ethan Strain (guitar), released a new song “Quiet” on November 22, 2024.
The song will appear on their upcoming debut EP, which is expected to be released in 2025.
The song is haunting and reserved, with the band's lead singer, Trevor Dalrymple, barely whispering lyrics about longing for what he can't have, featuring a tasteful atmosphere.
The track was written by Trevor Dalrymple, and Luca DiVergilio who also produced it.
Trevor Dalrymple said of the song, “It's funny, we all seem to have a soft spot for a girl talking quietly. We like the idea that you can be exhausted, completely spent in a relationship, but those little soft moments of intimacy, the right glance or tone of voice, can just level you and make you overlook the issues.”- Luca DiVergilio said, “I think often when you're expressing strong emotions there's an instinct to make the art big and powerful. With Quiet the idea was to make the song feel as small and unassuming as possible.”
Ethan Strain said, “It's a very tender feeling. We wanted the chorus to reflect that softness, so we decided to strip away the arrangement almost completely, and let the breathy intimacy of the vocals carry the section.” - source : Apple Music
