The Backfires Releases New Song “Turn Off The Lights”
New York-based indie rock band The Backfires, consisting of Alex Gomez (vocals), Harry Ruprecht (guitar) and Matt Walter (bass), released the fourth single called “Turn Off The Lights” from their upcoming debut album “This Is Not An Exit” on November 21, 2024.
The debut album is set to be released on January 24, 2025 and comprises 10 songs, produced by Ayad al Adhamy.
The song is the first release after drummer Max Wanduragala left the band.
The track was written by Alexander Gomez, Henry Ruprecht, and Matthew Walter. Produced by Ayad Al Adhamy.
The band said of the song, “'Turn Off The Lights' is inspired by the moment when love catches you by surprise. When a Saturday night turns into a long weekend and then a month or a year.
