Veronica D'Souza Releases New Song “A Mountain”
Copenhagen-based singer-songwriter Veronica D'Souza released a new song “A Mountain” on November 21, 2024.
The song is the third single since her comeback in May, marking her first release in two years since the 2022 album “Songs From Home”, following “Just Because a Crush” and “Peaches in My Halo”.
The track explores a whole new world order, of a matriarchal society where there is balance between genders, generations, between humans and nature.
The track was written and produced by Veronica D'Souza, who also directed the accompanying music video.
Veronica D'Souza said of the song, “Instead of asking for a seat at the table, this song is asking for new tables. It's asking for tables where magic, feminine energy, nature, collaboration and friendships rule. And it's asking for gatekeepers to step down from the boardrooms to give space for a new world grounded in values of equity, stewardship, and collectivity. Our future depends on making space for those who build from a different set of rules.”- Veronica D'Souza shared on social media, “Making this song was a such fun playground! Mixing genres and parts of songs. I would be so delighted if you would take the time to get to know this one. Releasing a piece of you is always a shivering thrill- This one is particularly special to me and I hope it resonates somehow. It is dedicated to all young girls - dreaming of a new world order - for all of us.”
