Steve Aoki, Sam Feldt, Xandra, Nile Rodgers & Zak Abel Release New Reimagining of Diana Ross' “I'm Going Out”
American DJ Steve Aoki, Dutch DJ Sam Feldt, American DJ Xandra, American guitarist Nile Rodgers and British singer-songwriter Zak Abel teamed up to release a fresh reimagining of American singer-songwriter Diana Ross' “I'm Going Out” on November 22, 2024.
The track was sparked by an idea from Steve Aoki and Nile Rodgers.
The original version of the song was released by Diana Ross as the second single from her self-titled eleventh album in 1980.
This time, the track blends the original melodies with fresh production, new lyrics, and a modern sound to become the first-ever dance reinterpretation of the classic.
Also, Nile Rodgers, who co-wrote and produced the original version with Bernard Edwards of CHIC, marking the first time he has featured on a rework of the song as a performer.- Nile Rodgers said, “The original song holds a special place in my heart due to its incredibly uplifting energy and memorable message of inclusion.
