GRACEY Releases New Song “Back To Then”
British singer-songwriter GRACEY released her brand new song “Back To Then” along with a music video on November 21, 2024.
The song is the third single since her comeback back in August, following “Delirium” and “Rhetorical Questions”.
It was written by Eli Teplin, Grace Barker, and Phil Scully who also produced the track.
The accompanying video was directed by Tony Tacheny, who also created her previous video for “Delirium” and “Rhetorical Questions”.
GRACEY said of the song, “Back to Then is about the irreversible effects falling in and out of love can have on a pre-existing friendship. It was written after a night where I’d bumped into an ex at a bar after years of not speaking; I was reminded of how much we actually got on and realised I actually just missed them as a person, not even in a romantic way.”- She continued, “The hard reality is that we will never truly be able to go back to the friendship we had before our relationship. This song reflects how strange it feels watching someone who once meant everything to you become a stranger. I think of ‘Back to Then’ as the more *level-headed* sister song to my single from a few years ago, ‘What a Waste’, and I’m so excited to release it as part of this new chapter in my life.”

GRACEY shared on social media. “It poses the question: if you could turn back time to before you and your ex ever dated, to when you could still be a part of each other lives without it feeling so heavy, would you go back to then?”
