Cheat Codes Releases New Song “TYSM” featuring salem ilese
Los Angeles-based DJ trio Cheat Codes, consisting of Kevin Ford, Trevor Dahl and Matthew Russell, teamed up American singer-songwriter salem ilese to release a new song “TYSM” on November 22, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Cheat Codes and salem ilese.
For Cheat Codes, the song is the follow-up to the collaborative song with German DJ duo YouNotUs “Cinema” featuring barbz, which was released last month.
Also, the song will appear on their upcoming fifth studio album, which is expected to be released in 2025.
While, salem ilese joined in the song as her fifth collaborative song of 2024.
salem ilese explains that the track reflects the sense of gratitude that emerges from gaining clarity after experiencing mistreatment in a relationship.
The track was written by Danny Couture, Eric Aukstikalnas, Jae Green, Karolis Labanauskas, Kevin Pederson, Matthew Elifritz, Natalie Solomun, salem ilese, and Trevor Dahl. Produced by Aukoustics, Embody, Jae Green, and Trevor Dahl.
The accompanying music video was directed by Chris Nguyen Campbell.- salem ilese said if the song, “TYSM is about finding the silver lining of a painful breakup. It's never easy when someone you love treats you badly, but it does make it slightly easier to start getting over them. When someone gives you a reason to leave them, it might also be a reason to thank them. Though the song is actually about heartbreak, Cheat Codes' uplifting production makes it feel more empowering than sad.
