AJ Tracey & Pozer Premiere New Song “Heaterz” on BBC Radio 1
British rappers AJ Tracey and Pozer teamed up to premiere a new song “Heaterz” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
This marks the first collaboration between AJ Tracey and Pozer.
The track samples “Gunshot Riddim” by pioneering grime producer Kromestar, aka Ironsoul.
For AJ Tracey, the song is the follow-up to Bubble Bath, which was released back in July.
While, Pozer joined in the sog his fourth collaborative single of 2024, following “Kitchen Stove” with Nemzzz and JS x YD, “Next Up” with JS x YD and Mixtape Madness and “Cross Waters” with Lusho.
The duo made the song in Paris.
The track was written by AJ Tracey, Kromestar, Nathaniel London, Pozer, and Ra Tha Gawd. Produced by Nathaniel London and Ra Tha Gawd.
The accompanying music video was directed by LateMilk.
AJ Tracey told Jack Saunders about the song, “We sound very similar, and once I've said it, you can't unsee it, you can't unhear it. You see it now, I said it, you're gonna hear it now. For real, which was which.”- He continued, “For me, I just like making music that I enjoy. I'm saying, I enjoy Pozer music. And I thought, yo, that'll be a link up that will enjoy it. You get it's fun, bringing fun back to music. Sometimes people just grind out records for the sake of it. But as my fan base know me, I don't drop that often, but when I do, it's heat to get it.”
He explained why he worked with Pozer, “His voice sounds like my voice. We sound similar. And also like the pockets that he sits in his flow pockets are similar to mine. I just felt like I'm seeing like a younger, more mischievous version of myself. So I was like, 100 the link up makes sense.” -
Pozer said of working with AJ Tracey, “It was just two of us linking up. I'd be real. Real recognized real. And I just made magic in Paris after Fashion Week. He just shouted man. He said, right man, got time linking.” - source : BBC Radio 1
