Izzy Raye Releases New Song “how do you do it”
New York-based singer-songwriter Izzy Raye released her brand new song “how do you do it” on November 20, 2024.
The song is the second single since the 2024 EP “Favorite Girl”, following “confirm it”.
The song explores the complexity of examining one's relationship with heteronormativity, blending themes of sexuality and yearning.
Izzy Raye sees the song as a moment of reflection and questioning around identity and societal expectations as a queer person.
She wrote the song with producer Chris Botta.
Izzy Raye said about the ideology behind the track, “Am I attracted to this man, or do I just want to be treated the way he's treated?”
She added, “This was a tough nut to crack, it's been in the vault for a longgg long time. In a way it's one of the most collaborative songs I've put out. Thank you to all who steered this in the right direction. I hope you enjoy it. I really really do!”- Photo by Emma Howard
