Olivia Dean Releases New Song “Touching Toes”
British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean released a new song “Touching Toes” on November 15, 2024.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The track is follow-up to “Time”, which was released back in June.
It was written by Max Wolfgang, Bastian Langebæk, and Olivia Dean. Produced by Zach Nahome.
The song is accompanied by the Jake Erland-directed live performance video.
Olivia Dean said of the song, “Touching Toes is a delicate love-song about letting someone into your space and the feeling of the flip switching in your head when you know it's love. It's an intimate moment I wanted to share as a bookmark to the end of this chapter of music from me.”- Olivia Dean told Jack Saunders about the song, “I think I'm really glad I put it out. I was holding on to it for a bit and playing it live, and it just felt like it was time to share it. It's a very sweet and delicate little song, and I'm really proud of it.”
She continued, “I wrote this song actually a similar time to when I wrote 'Time'. I'd just got this new nylon guitar as a present. And I was writing loads on it, and it's a song about just being in love, really. It's quite simple.” -
She adde, “I think you make the time when it's love. I think you make the time and I think this song especially is about the small moments and appreciating those small moments and noticing them and recognizing them. And when I was writing, I was like, just 'touching toes' really weird, or is it just like, really nice, and people will get it. And I think people know I'm talking.” - source : BBC Radio 1
