Bruce Springsteen Drops New Music Video for Cover of Jesse Malin's “She Don't Love Me Now”
American rock singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen has dropped a new music video for a cover of American singer-songwriter Jesse Malin's “She Don't Love Me Now” directed by Harry Greenberger.
The song is featured on the tribute album to Jesse Mali, “Silver Patron Saints”, which was released in September.
The album comprises 27 songs, produced by Diane Gentile and Dave Bason, featuring Bleachers, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Billie Joe Armstrong, and more.
Jesse Malin suffered a rare spinal stroke in 2023 that left him paralyzed from the waist down and unable to walk.
Due to extensive medical bills, his manager and various friends have set up a donation campaign to help him pay for his medical expenses.
All proceeds of the album benefit Jesse Malin's Sweet Relief artist fund.
The track was written by Derek Cruz, Don DiLego, and Jesse Malin. Produced by Derek Cruz and Ron Lebret.
The video stars Paul Bearer, Laura Flook, and Richard Allen.- Jesse Malin said of the song, “Bruce captured the soulful spirit of the song perfectly, and Harry took it to a new level with this video. It means the world to me to not only have Bruce sing one of my songs but also to have so many friends come together for this effort.”
Director Harry Greenberger said of the video, “I've known Jesse for nearly 25 years, and he's one of my closest and best friends in the world. When this devastating injury happened to him, it was unfathomable to all who know him, the healthiest, strongest, most active guy in any room he walks into. This is one of my favorite Jesse songs, a classic heartbreak soul song, that makes you want to immediately dance. During the first days of his spinal stroke, Jesse had said he was determined to not just walk again, but to one day dance again. Anybody who knows his determination and PMA knows no one should ever bet against him doing whatever he puts his mind to.” - source : Apple Music
