Johnny Lloyd Releases New Song “Manchester In Bloom”
Last month, London-based singer-songwriter Johnny Lloyd announced his upcoming fourth solo album “Punchline” would be released on January 31, 2025 via Xtra Mile Recordings.
The album is his first solo LP in three years since the 2022 album “I Hate Suzie Too” and comprises 10 songs.
From the album, he released a new song “Manchester In Bloom” on November 15, 2024.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “If You Love Them, Let Them Go” released last month.
The track is finding inspiration from the Northern capital in this wistful, soul-searching lovesong.
It was written by Johnny Lloyd and produced by Max Clilverd.
Johnny Lloyd said of the song, “Manchester in Bloom is a song about beginnings and ends in a relationship. It’s about trying to hold onto things that are slipping away.”- The new album, produced by Max Clilverd, features pared-back arrangements that illuminate songs rich in eternal themes of love, loss, and letting go.
Johnny Lloyd said of the album, “If there was one album I've made to showcase my music I would want it to be this one. I started writing the album at the end of 2022 when the world was still transitioning out of the pandemic and I feel like that feeling is present in the music. I pushed as hard as I could creatively to go places I haven't previously been... I am very grateful for the amazing musicians who played on this album and to Max Clilverd for bringing it together.” -
