Dakota 66 Releases New Song “Gimme Love”
Dublin-based indie rock band Dakota 66, consisting of J Gallagher (vocals), Brian Grace (guitar), Brian Curran (bass) and Thomas Leonard (drums), released their brand new song called “Gimme Love” on November 15, 2024.
The song is fourth single since the 2024 debut album “If Not Now, When”, “following “Déjà Vu”, “Rise” and “Remember”.
Four songs will appear on their upcoming sophomore album, which is expected to be released in early 2025.
The track explores the complex dynamic between light and dark, in a way that is as thrilling as it is thought-provoking.
And it is a journey of human nature in relationships, reminding listeners of how easily we can be swayed by charm, only to find a darker side lurking beneath the surface.
The track was written by John Gallagher and produced by Cian Boylan.
The band said of the song, “The song is a comic book conversation between good and bad, temptation and disguise, and what the real intentions are. It's a fun look at how people can be one thing, but not, can have charm but with bad intentions.”
