Thomas Rhett & Teddy Swims Team Up for New Version of “Somethin' 'Bout A Woman”
American country singer-songwriter Thomas Rhett and American singer-songwriter Teddy Swims teamed up to release a new version of “Somethin' 'Bout A Woman” on November 15, 2024.
This marks the third collaboratoion between Thomas Rhett and Teddy Swims, following the 2020 “Broke” and the 2023 “Angels (Don't Always Have Wings)”.
The original version of the song is featured on Thomas Rhett's seventh studio album “About A Woman”, which was released back in August.
The track was written by Andrew Haas, John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, and Thomas Rhett. Produced by Dann Huff and Julian Bunetta.
Both singers will perform the song on the 58th Annual CMA Awards on November 20, 2024.
Thomas Rhett said of the song, “This collaboration has been something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now. Teddy and I first met through our producer Julian Bunetta back in 2020 and it was pretty much instant musical chemistry. I sang on his song ‘Broke’ and then we ended up writing 'Angels (Don’t Always Have Wings)' in under an hour. I’ve been wanting to release something with him again ever since, and his voice on this song is insane.”- Teddy Swims said, “Been waiting to release this song with Thomas Rhett for a while!! He has been in my corner since day one, so when he called me to join him on 'Somethin' 'Bout a Woman,” it was a no brainer. It’s an honor to join him on this track—he’s a legend. I love you big bro!”
