salute & Jessie Ware Premiere New Song “Heaven In Your Arms” on BBC Radio 1
Manchester-based DJ salute teamed up with British singer-songwriter Jessie Ware to premiere a new song “Heaven In Your Arms” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
This marks the first collaboration between salute and Jessie War.
For salute, the song is the first collaborative single since his debut album “TRUE MAGIC”.
While, Jessie Ware worked with salute as the second collaborative song of 2024, following “Lift You Up” with Romy.
The track was written by Felix Nyajo, Jessica Burrows, Karma Kid, and Sam Knowles. Produced by salute and Karma Kid.
Jessie Ware said of the song, “I’ve been a fan of Salute for a while and caught their set in Sónar this summer. From that point I was determined to work with them. Salute sent me a load of tracks and this beat stood out. I wanted to make something optimistic and romantic. It reminds me of the garage I used to dance to in my teens, but, of course, with Salute’s unique and futuristic sound it feels brand new! I love the song and to see how it’s been going down in Salute’s shows in the states makes me so excited to perform it with them one day, or two!”
salute said, “Wrote this one a few months ago with jessie & my day 1 Karma Kid and it's all yours now. Huge love to NILE & Adenikè Zen for coming through with the most unbelievable backing vocals. I've been a huge fan of Jessie's for over a decade now so this is a dream come true, she's the best.”- salute told Jack Saunders about when he met Jessie Ware, “Actually, only just, I only saw her on Instagram the day after because she tagged me into the story. And I was over the moon, because I'm a massive fan of Jessie. We actually met six years ago in Auslan, not sure whether Jessie remembers this, but I came to one of her shows, and a friend of mine was playing in her band, so like, asked to be introduced to and I actually just don't even remember this, but I got really drunk off your rider because I was really nervous to me.”

Jessie Ware said of woking with salute, “We have a mutual friend that we wrote this record with Karma Kid, shout out Karma Kid, and I'd been hearing the Rina track that salute had, and my husband, every time my husband heard it on the radio, he'd be like, What is this track? And every time he shazammed it, it was the same track. So he just loved it. And so I started listening to salute debut record. And I just, I loved everything about them, and so I knew that I wanted to go and see them at Sónar. I was playing at Sónar. I was playing before them, and honestly, the show was amazing. And I was texting Karma being like, I need to do a track with them. I need, let's get in the studio as soon as I'm back. And that was in the summer, and I think we got in the studio, like just before I went on holiday in August.” - source : BBC Radio 1
