Neon Funeral Returns with New Song “Perpetual Misery”
New Jersey-based post-punk band Neon Funeral, consisting of Randy Robertson (vocals), Kevin Garetz (guitar) and Roberto Miranda (bass), returned with a new song “Perpetual Misery” on November 9, 2024.
The song is their first music in a years since the 2023 EP “Banned From the Goth Club”.
Also, it is the first release as the trio, leaving keyboard player Michael Caballero, but is the final song written and recorded with Michael Caballero before leaving the band.
The track was written by Kevin Garetz, Michael Caballero, Randy Robertson, and Roberto Miranda.
The band said of the song, “This is the last song written and recorded with our keyboardist before we had to part ways with him for a serious private matter. We've had a struggling year 2024 dealing with personal issues but we feel we have started a new chapter in the band. Our sound has refined slightly as well. The lyrics deal with our singers search for a spiritual connection in a world of materialism, demonism, isolation, and despair.”- They shared on social media, “Navigating the fast-paced, digital music world is a daily challenge, and balancing that with the pressure to create the best music we can is often stressful. But we push through it by supporting one another and working together to overcome the obstacles we face-trust us, there have been many. Looking ahead, we're excited to begin 2025 by releasing some of our previously recorded tracks, featuring our older lineup. It's time for a fresh start. We've also begun writing new material, and it feels great to be back in the creative process and rekindling the energy of the band.”
