Bradley Simpson Announces Debut Solo Album “The Panic Years”, Shares New Song “Holy Grail”
British pop band The Vamps' lead singer, Bradley Simpson has announced his upcoming debut solo album “The Panic Years” will be released on February 28, 2025.
From the album, he unveiled a new song “Holy Grail” on November 8, 2024.
The song is the fifth single off of the album, following “Cry At The Moon”, “Picasso”, “Daisies and “Always Like”.
The track was written by Bradley Simpson, Ina Wroldsen, and Jordan Asher Cruz. Produced by Bradley Simpson and BOOTS.
He said of the song, “Holy Grail is a song about realising that going through ups and downs with someone you love makes it worth it. I spoke about that with my friend Ina, who is an incredible songwriter, and then wrote it around an electric guitar before I recorded anything. Later, BOOTS and I tracked live drums, and I wrote the outro in the studio. It was one of the harder ones on the album to finish because it felt quite delicate and anything we added really needed to earn its place in the production.”- The album comprises a 12-track, produced by Bradley Simpson and BOOTS.
Bradley Simpson said of the album, “I hope these songs and stories can help them navigate those experiences. They can become the soundtrack to their lives, whether they're dancing, crying, going out or whatever it is. It really feels like an opportunity to let them into a side of my life that I haven't shared before.” -
He told DORK about working with BOOTS (Jordan Asher Cruz), “I never really made an album with an executive producer in the way that I made this album. [Jordan] was very different to anyone I'd worked with. He sat back and had a bit of a Rick Rubin approach, which really threw me off at first, because I was like, 'Are you going to do anything?' for the first few days. But then every change that he makes is like the one thing that you were looking for the whole time. You could be in there playing a million parts, and he could just come in and go actually... and then you're like, oh, that was it. There were a lot of bucket list moments.” - source : Apple Music
