Night Tapes Releases New Song “to be free”
London-based dream-pop band Night Tapes, consisting of Max Doohan, Sam Richards, and Iiris Vesik, released a new song “to be free” on November 1, 2024.
The song is the first music since the EP “assisted memories”, released back in June, and was released ahead of their first US headline tour.
Also, the track will appear on their upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released later 2025.
It was written by Andreas Kristos Stavropolis, Anna Shoemaker, Gavin Marshall Pomerantz, Iiris Vesik, Max Doohan, and Samuel Richards. Produced by Love Language and Night Tapes.
The band lead singer Iiris Vesik said of the song, “'to be free' is about layers of perception. Everyone is a cyborg nowadays. Also, this song is probably as electronic as we’re ever going to venture to.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Owain E. Morgan.
Iiris Vesik said of the video, “At first she only danced when no one was looking & even then was she free from her own layers of perception? touching space & time with her physical being, trying to break free from her cyborg mind.”
Their first US headline tour kicks off at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on November 9, 2024.
