  • Imogen Heap Returns with New Song “What Have You Done To Me?”

  • British electro-pop singer-songwriter Imogen Heap returned with a new song “What Have You Done To Me?” on November 1, 2024.


    The song is her first solo music in four years since the 2020 singles “Phase and Flow” and “Last Night Of An Empire”.
    She’d written and produced the track over two and a half years.
    The song is the first part of three parts, which will be released in stages of over the next month.
    Also, users to chat with her AI assistant “Mogen” and to remix and sample the song on her new website The Living Song, which is coming soon.
    And then, a third of all profits from this collaboration between artist, AI and fan will be donated to Brian Eno’s climate foundation EarthPercent.

    Imogen Heap told Guardian about the song, “It’s about empowering the song to have the tools to go and collaborate, to go and make love with different people. I don’t want to keep it locked in the basement; I’ve never felt protective or possessive over [my music].”
  • Imogen Heap said of the song, “It’s one of three parts, released in stages of over the next month. The final release stage will trigger the video dariakorsak reveals her directorial debut.”

    She continued, “There’s so much to say about even just this particular section of this work and all involved that I’m launching a website dedicated to it in a couple of weeks. You’ll be able to talk to the song directly and Mogen will answer all she can in ‘my voice’. You’ll be able to remix it, sample it, see what other platforms are connected to the song and explore it in a multitude of ways.”


  • She added, “This song documents a transformation in me and tracks a journey in tech over the last three years. Thank you to everyone involved, it’s been an almost impossible at times journey!”
