Inhaler Premieres New Song “Your House” on BBC Radio 1
Irish rock band Inhaler, consisting of Eli Hewson (vocals/guitar), Robert Keating (bass), Josh Jenkinson (guitar) and Ryan McMahon (drums), premiered a new song “Your House” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the first single off of their upcoming third studio album “Open Wide”, which is set to be released on February 7, 2025 via Polydor Records.
The band worked with producer Kid Harpoon on the album.
The track was written by Elijah Hewson, Josh Jenkinson, Robert Keating, and Ryan McMahon. Produce by Kid Harpoon.
The accompanying music video was directed by Jovan Todorović.
The band frontman Eli Hewson said of the song, “We’re an ambitious band that wants to create anthemic music, particularly when things feel so destructive. ‘Your House’ is about belonging to someone or something that’s bad for you. The verse is blasé but the chorus feels spiritual. I love that contrast.”- The band told Jack Saunders about the song, “It's definitely our favorite album, and I think it just signifies the kind of different era for us which we're happy about. And I think what we liked about the track is just feels immediate and bit minimal, which is kind of different for us.”
They continued, “I think we talked about the fact that, I think your second album is very much you're trying to get it done because you want to get out and play shows and stuff. But we had a lot of time to really get into this one. We spent a lot of time at home in Dublin doing it, and it just feels really like us.”
The added, “This year, we actually had a big break. We had like, eight months off, and that's kind of why we've referenced this album as its own thing, almost because we've never had that long period of time to just work on recording music.” -
They said of working with Kid Harpoon, “It was just a great experience, I think, for us to kind of throw ourselves into the deep end. And work with someone like Tom, because he's just done so many amazing records, and he's got such a great perspective on pop music.”
They continued, “He wanted us to really like know exactly what we wanted, I think. And that's something in the past that I think maybe we've not been invested. We're being honest, and I think he was just really good guide.”
