South Arcade Premieres New Song “MOTH KIDS” on BBC Radio 1
Oxford-based pop rock band South Arcade, consisting of Harry Winks (guitar), Cody Leigh Johns (drums), Ollie Green (bass) and Harmony Cavelle (vocals), premiered a new song “MOTH KIDS” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Tara Kumar.
The song is their fifth single of 2024, following “HOW 2 GET AWAY WITH MURDER”, “stone cold summer”, “Riptide” and “Nepo Baby”.
The track was written during the early stages of the band, and recently was completed.
It was written by Cody Leigh, Harmony Scott-Russell, Ollie Green, and Harry Winks who also produced the track.
The band said of the song, “MOTH KIDS is a track that came to life when we first started the band which we couldn't get right at the time. The song was inspired after playing our first small tour for our fans and feeling a sense of community at the shows with everyone in the crowd. After our recent run of shows, we had this same feeling and wanted to capture it in this song. We've also secretly shared the song with our fans for a while and they have been asking for it to be released ever since. It's more of an angsty, rebellious kind of track which we hope brings a sense of belonging like it did for us making it.”- The band will support British singer-songwriter NOAHFINNCE's UK tour. The tour kicks off at Papilion in Southampton on November 5 and will conclude at Electric Ballroom in London on November 13, 2024.
