Sam Gellaitry Premieres New Song “HOME” on BBC Radio 1
Scottish DJ Sam Gellaitry premiered a new song “HOME” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the third solo single of 2024, following “MORE!” and “INTROSPECTIVE”.
It was written and produced by Sam Gellaitry.
Sam Gellaitry told Jack Saunders about the song, “I guess it's a metaphorical term for being at home with someone. I guess the first verse as well is kind of like using a home as like a mental snapshot of like your mental health for your situation. And then it's like the person wanders into the messy house might not be ready for a situation. And then it kind of just evolves into that and in the chorus lines about it being feeling at home with the person. It's quite a whimsical track.”- He continued, “I mean, I think I started to track with the guitar. So that guitar itself, as we said, is quite like whimsical and stuff. So that kind of leads to context of the song a bit as well.”
He added, “I live in West London now, but I grew up in a place called Stirling in Scotland, and actually the song kind of sounds like, how looked where I was brought up. It was where I lived, is quite nature driven, and the synesthesia says it's a green song. So Scotland's very green as well. It's when I play it at home, it matches the scenery.” - source : BBC Radio 1
