Doif Releases New Song “Red Heat Heaven”
Norwegian music producer Doif released a new song “Red Heat Heaven” on October 25, 2024.
The song is accompanied by self-directed stop-motion, puppetry video.
The track will appear on his upcoming debut EP “I'm All Ears”, which is set to be released on November 15, 2024 via Propeller Recordings.
The song paints a vivid picture of a world on the brink of destruction.
It was produced in collaboration with Bearson and co-written with Mikhael Paskalev.
Doif said of the song, “The lyrics depict a couple sitting on opposite sides of the planet, each with the power over a large red button. Both are convinced that the other will press it first, but in the end, they decide to press it simultaneously. In a world where everything lies in ruins and the surface of the earth has been levelled, they finally stand face to face-alone, yet together.”- He added about the video, “The video is based on the song's theme: a toxic couple who want to watch the world burn. They believe that only in a dystopia can they find peace and return to each other-or at least, that's what they think. I love exploring contrasts, both in my music and visual art. The story starts in a childish, pleasant world but spirals into chaos, leading the couple to a point where they decide to wipe out humanity. This narrative is, of course, inspired by some of our most powerful world leaders, daring each other to be the first to push the button. My favourite part in the video is of course the guitar solo. If not one skeleton guitar solo is enough, make it two!”

He shared on social media, “Here I eat banana and also being very proud of my first selfmade music video to be released! Red Heat Heaven was co-produced by Bearson, co-written with Mikhael Paskalev, and mixed masterfully by Christian Engfelt. I’ve had several long nights the last couple of weeks trying to make a visual representation of the song, and I must say I really enjoy the universe I’ve created. My man Trash Benny helped me out fine tuning the piece, and the whole experience made me realise I need to do more visual stuff going ahead with my doif project.”
