Andy Stochansky Releases New Song “Champion”
Los Angeles-based Canadian singer-songwriter Andy Stochansky released the second single called “Champion” from his upcoming album “Poetry Of Birds” on October 25, 2024.
The song is accented by acoustic guitars and light synths, underscoring a captivating vocal performance and eloquent storytelling.
The track was written by Jon Hume and Andy Stochansky. Produced by Andy Stochansky and Daniel Ledwell.
The accompanying music video was directed by David Patiño.
Andy Stochansky said of the song, “After a concert, my wife and I went to this diner. One waitress was alone, and she was serving easily a hundred people. I realized I could never do that job. I was sitting in the booth, and this whole story came to me. She's surrounded by craziness, but she's staying calm and killing it.”- The new album is set to be released in early 2025. It is his first album in two decade since the 2005 album “100”.
He said of the album, “It's easy to be overwhelmed by the modern world. I love electronics as much as anybody else does, but I wanted to show some respect to nature. It can teach us everything we need. Poetry Of Birds is a reminder to look at the beauty of the simple things around us.”
He added, “I love collaboration, but I had a real need for my own voice to be out there again. Lyrically, I have a pretty high bar for myself because the people I've worked with also had such high bars. I just wanted to be able to knock this project out of the park on my own.” -
