Sub Focus & Katy B Team Up for New Song “Push The Tempo”
London-based DJ Sub Focus and British singer-songwriter Katy B teamed up to release a new song “Push The Tempo” on October 25, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Sub Focus and Katy B.
They first performed the song at an impromptu, surprise pop-up show in London last month.
For Sub Focus, the song is the follow-up to “Wildfire”, which was released back in July.
While, Katy B joined in the song as her first collaborative song in a year and a half since “Paradise” with Kings Of The Rollers.
The track was written by John Morgan, Karen Poole, Kathleen Brien, Nicolaas Douwma, and William Langley. Produced by Sub FocusPunctual.
The accompanying music video was directed by Duncan Lewis and Three Shades.- Sub Focus said, “Me and Katy have bumped into each other many times moving in the same circles for years - having mutual friends like Skream and Benga and we even train with the same PT! We only linked up in the studio really recently though and this was the first thing we wrote. She is amazing at writing about the experience and release of going clubbing and it reminded me of the vibe of her all time classic Katy on a Mission...”
