Staytus Releases New Song “68 Kill”
American singer-songwriter Staytus released a new song “68 Kill” on October 24, 2024.
The song is the first release in Twisted Frames, a series of singles inspired by Matthew Gray Gubler's iconic, cult-followed horror films.
The track is about reclaiming power and conquering trauma, and reflects a woman who has faced dark moments and is now fighting back.
Staytus sings about how she is no longer a victim and is taking back her power.
Staytus recorded the song with co-producer Matt McJunkins of A Perfect Circle at Secret Hand Studios in Los Angeles.
She has already filmed a music video for the song, directed by American punk-rock band There Is No Us frontman Jim Louvau, which is coming soon.- Staytus said of the song, “Working with Matt was an incredible experience. Matt brought so much depth to the production with his bass and synth work, creating a sonic landscape that perfectly matched the intensity of the song. His talent and energy really pushed me to elevate my own creativity and singing.”
