Damiano David Releases New Song “Born With a Broken Hear”
Italian rock band Måneskin frontman Damiano David released his second solo single called “Born With a Broken Hear” on October 25, 2024.
The song is the follow up to his debut single “Silverlines”, which was produced by British singer-songwriter Labrinth.
Both songs will appear on his upcoming debut solo album, which still doesn't have a set release date.
The track was written by Damiano David, Jason Evigan, Mark Schick, and Sarah Hudson.
Damiano David said of the song in a statement, “When I wrote this song I was getting out of a very dark place, I was feeling emotionless and I was afraid that I had lost my ability to feel things, either good or bad. This was happening while I was starting the most meaningful relationship of my life and the fear of not being capable or ready was big.”
He continued, “I think the song was a way to make myself make sense of what I was feeling and look at it from a less scary prospective. I'm happy to say that today I don't feel like this but I think a lot of people can relate with the feeling of not being good enough.”- The accompanying music video was directed by Aerin Moreno.
Damiano David said of the video, “The video is my personal fantasy. A world where no matter what, once you step through the door, everything becomes magical and beautiful. It’s a way to say that not everything negative is gonna hurt you, but sometimes is actually gonna take you to the next chapter of your life. We all have the ability to transform negative experiences into something meaningful for us.” -
