Gwen Stefani Releases New Song “Swallow My Tears”
American singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani released a new song “Swallow My Tears” on October 25, 2024 via Interscope Records.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming fifth studio album “Bouquet”, which is set to be released on November 15, 2024.
She recorded the song in Oklahoma. The track was written by Gwen Stefani, Henry Walter, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Madison Love, and Nick Long. Produced by Scott Hendricks.
Gwen Stefani said of the song, “'Swallow My Tears', which was written in Oklahoma at the Ranch. And I had this like whim where I had been on this writing kind of like flow with some incredible songwriters. I would have this fantasy that we would go to Oklahoma, they'd fly over there with me and spend the night. And we would write some songs and we did it. We ended up just like, writing this song. It was like, the first thing that we wrote. And we got inside my Jeep there, and it was raining, pouring rain. And we were just driving through the Ranch and just going like, it was like, I always say this, these songs are just handed down, and they're like, so precious. It's like you sit there and you go, did this just happen, like this was not there like a second ago, now we have this song. And it just captures so much of my story. And I love this song so much.”- The new album comprises 10 songs, featuring a guest appearance from American country singer-songwriter Blake Shelton, produced by Scott Hendricks.
It is her first album in seven years since the 2017 Christmas-themed album “You Make It Feel Like Christmas”.
But as her original album, it is follow-up to the 2016 album “This Is What the Truth Feels Like”. -
