Biig Piig Premieres New Song “Favourite Girl” on BBC Radio 1
London-based Irish singer-songwriter Biig Piig premiered a new song “Favourite Girl” along with a music video on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut album “11:11”, which is set to be released on February 7, 2025.
It was written by Biig Piig, Michael Stafford, and Zach Nahome who also produced the track.
Biig Piig told Jack Saunders about the song, “I just felt like when I was writing the song, it was kind of from a perspective of this Barbie esque world, and I kind of wanted to write from that perspective. And so, it's just like a little cute song, little flirty song painted that way.”
The debut album is her first project in two years since the 2023 mixtape “Bubblegum”.
She recorded the album between London and Paris.
She said of the album, “Title is 11:11, it's coming on the seventh of Feb next year, 2025. It's been working on it for like, two years, and it's just a big mishmash of memories and feelings and love and loss, and it's gonna be out, finally.”- She shared on social media, “The tracks on this record have been written through the last couple years it's such a reflection to me of how much has happened. The highs and lows, love and loss through it all we dance regardless. I wanted to make a project that felt like a place you could do the same. I'd love to think that some of these songs could do for you what they did for me when I was writing, could bring comfort, sparking memories or just soundtracking moments. So here it is, my first album!!”
