Alessia Cara Announces New Album “Love & Hyperbole”, Shares New Song “(Isn't It) Obvious”
Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara has announced her upcoming fourth studio album “Love & Hyperbole” will be released on February 14, 2025 via Def Jam Recordings.
The album is her first body of work in four years since the 2021 album “In the Meantime” and comprises a 14-track.
Alessia Cara said, “I'm so happy to finally share this with you and I can't wait for you to hear the rest of what I feel is my best work to date-or at least my personal favourite. welcome to the L&H ERA IM BEAMING!!!!!!”
From the album, she released a new song “(Isn't It) Obvious” on October 21, 2024.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Dead Man” released back in July.
The track was written by Alessia Cara and Jakob Rabitsch. Produced by Yakob.
On the track, American singer-songwriter and guitarist John Mayer performed the guitar solo.
The accompanying music video was directed by Gordy De St. Jeor.- Alessia Cara said of the song, “If 'Dead Man' is about emotional distance, then '(Isn't It) Obvious' is about being physically apart from someone but reminding them how much you love them. As I was coming up with the lyrics I was pulling a lot of inspiration from singer-songwriters like John Mayer, so it's mind-blowing to me that he ended up actually playing on the song.”
