mags Returns with New Song “herified”
Danish singer-songwriter mags returned with a new song “herified” on October 18, 2024.
The song is is the first release by mags following a three-year hiatus while the new album is set to be released in the early spring of 2025.
The track is inspired by mags’ embrace of another woman, as well as of herself.
It was written and produced by Andreas Bendix Wilson and Margrethe Tang.
mags said of the song, “'herified' comes from taking the passive noun 'her' and turning it into an active verb by adding '-fied'; thus, herified. It embraces going from knowing to doing. No longer feeling either terrified or mesmerized but feeling herified.”- She continued, “As an artist and a queer woman who have gone from searching my reflection to truly seeing myself, it is also of immense importance to me to show female-led queer representation in a society and in the music industry where there is not nearly enough of it.”
