Mae Stephens Releases New Song “Out Of The Shadows” for PlayStation Game “Until Dawn”
British singer-songwriter Mae Stephens released the theme of the PlayStation 5 game “Until Dawn” on October 18, 2024.
“Until Dawn” is a 2015 interactive drama horror game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.
A remake of “Until Dawn” was released for PlayStation 5 and Windows on October 4, 2024.
For Mae Stephens, the song is the first release since her debut EP “Securely Insecure”, which was released back in August.
The track was written by Joseph Barry Thwaites, Mae Stephens, and Richard Walker who also produced it.
Mae Stephens said of the song, “'Out of the Shadows' is, in short, entering a decision in which you have no idea what the outcome may be. Walking into darkness and not knowing the choice you've made on the other side, just trying to play the game. Every decision you make can lead to fame or success, and one thing I've learnt from this game is that your choices affect the rest of the story. That's why I think it is so powerful and related to real life in the how decisions you make can affect your future.”- She shared on social media, “Recorded for the theme of the new PlayStation 5 game Until Dawn. I feel so privileged to be a part of this project and thank you so much to Roo Walker for making this track angelic and beautiful.
