Olivia O'Brien Releases New Song “all the time”
Back in May, American singer-songwriter Olivia O'Brien told The Honey POP that she would be releasing several projects this year, with a few singles before each.
She said, “I have a project coming in a slightly unconventional way. I will be releasing a lot of music this year broken up into a couple parts as well as a few singles before each project. The projects have their own unique themes and I've really enjoyed the process of building a story and a world for my new music.”
And then, she released her first project, the 5-track EP “love & limerence” under her new label, girlhood records in June.
She released the third single called “all the time” from her upcoming project on October 18, 2024, following “out of your league (but i want you so bad)” and “lower”.
She wrote the song with producer Day Wave.- Olivia O'Brien said of the song, “I wrote 'all the time' originally as a poem about how quickly a seemingly inconsequential bad habit can turn into a harmful addiction. From drugs and alcohol to eating disorders, I can’t even begin to count the amount of times I have watched friends and family members tell me that they 'don’t do it all the time' or 'it’s just this once.' It never is. We lie to ourselves to justify our vices because they make us feel good for a moment. people go to great lengths to hide the truth... not just from others, but from themselves. I worry all the time (no pun intended) that I myself will slip into these patterns if I am not careful. This song serves as a reminder.”
