Conan Gray Releases New Song “Holidays”
American singer-songwriter Conan Gray released his brand new single called “Holidays” on October 18, 2024.
The song is the first release since the third studio album “Found Heaven”, which was released back in April.
He first performed the song at Madison Square Garden last month.
The track was written and produced by Conan Gray, with production by Daniel Nigro and Ethan Gruska.
Conan Gray said of the song, “'Holidays' is a song about friendship. The holidays have always been a bittersweet time for me, for so many reasons. Something about the air, the sappy music, the families, and all the expectations. But most of all, it's witnessing the passage of time. Catching up with old friends and realising that you might just be 'catching up' forever now. That you'll never be 17 again, living in the same town, waiting for winter break to end.”- He continued, “I wanted to make a song that captured that feeling of coming back home to your hometown after moving away and seeing little bits and pieces slowly change- until one day you look around and your town just isn't your town anymore. But the one thing that never seems to change is your friendships. I can leave for six months, but right when I land back in Texas, it's like nobody left. The same food orders, the same dark coffee, and forever the same laughs. That's what gets me through the holidays every year.”

He shared on social media, “This time of year has always been a bit bittersweet for me. I think something about the holidays makes you realize just how quickly everything is changing. I wrote this one when i was back home in texas. These days when i'm back in my hometown, it always feels less and less familiar- new shops, new roads, new people. but the one thing that never really seems to change, no matter how much time passes, is my friends. those laughs will never change. So this song is my little love note to friendship, and growing up. I hope you enjoy miserably driving around your hometown to this song.” - source : Apple Music
