elijah woods Releases New Song “What It Means”
Los Angeles-based Canadian singer-songwriter elijah woods will surprise release his new EP “Elijah Would!” on October 25, 2024.
The 6-track EP is the follow-up to the EP “Hey There Elijah”, which was released last month, and explores tender, love-centered themes and highlights a softer, more intimate side of his artistry.
The project offers a reflective, heartfelt counterpart to the vibrant indie-rock energy of the previous EP. Together, these two EPs form a captivating story of emotional evolution, embracing the complexities of life, love, and growth.
From the EP, he released the first single called “What It Means” on October 18, 2024.
The track was written by Andrew Goldst, einelijah woods, and Jack LaFrantz. Produced by elijah woods, TMS, and Andrew Goldstein.
elijah woods said of the song, “'What It Means' is a reflection on the emotions I've grappled with over the past year. The brutally honest lyrics explore the struggle of understanding what it means to be human and my ongoing quest for maturity.”- He shared on social media, “This song means so much to me. I wrote it during a period of massive uncertainty in my life. I was so confused and happy and sad and grateful and depressed, and I couldn’t figure out how to express it. I sat down with Andrew Goldstein, [Jack] LaFrantz and TMS and within the first 30 minutes of meeting each other, this song poured out. I remember tearing up we first stumbled on the chorus. We left the studio that day and other than a few minor tweaks- it’s pretty much the day 1 demo. It was the first time I’d ever worked like we did and I’m so proud of how vulnerable and honest it turned out. I hope you love 'What It Means'.”
