ROSÉ & Bruno Mars Team Up for New Song “APT.”
New Zealand-South Korean singer-songwriter and South Korean girl group BLACKPINK member ROSÉ teamed up with American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars to release a new song “APT.” on October 18, 2024.
The song is the first single off of her upcoming debut solo album “rosie”, which is set to be released on December 6, 2024.
The track is accompanied by a music video, directed by Daniel Ramos and Bruno Mars.
The track was written by Amy Allen, Bruno Mars, Chae Young Park, Christopher Brody Brown, Henry Walter, Michael Chapman, Nicholas Chinn, Omer Fedi, Philip Lawrence, Rogét Chahayed, and Theron Thomas. Produced by Bruno Mars, Cirkut, Omer Fedi, and Rogét Chahayed.
ROSÉ said of the song, “'APT' is actually my favorite Korean drinking game that I play with my friends back home. It's so simple, puts a smile on your face, and breaks the ice at any party. One night in the studio I taught my crew how to play the game. Everyone was fascinated, especially when I started the chant, so we played around with it and I said we should make a song out of it... and after Bruno joined the track, the rest became history!”- Bruno Mars said, “This was me hanging on for dear life after ROSÉ introduced me to this Korean drinking game and got me saucy. Soon after, she tried to kiss me, and I was like 'woah Rosie! what part of the game is this?' She was like, 'I ain't playin games wit you anymore lil boy! Big Rosie bout that BIDNESS!' Shaken, I replied 'stop Rosie, I'm scared!' But other than that, super chill night.”
