Thomas Headon Premieres New Song “panic!” on BBC Radio 1
London-based singer-songwriter Thomas Headon premiered a new song “panic!” on BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Mollie King.
Back in February, after the release “Middle Of The Night”, he decided to take a break for while.
Six months later, he returned to music scene and started making music again.
The track was written by Caroline Pennell, Josh Grant, Stephen Barnes, and Thomas Headon. Produced by Josh Grant, Stephen Barnes, and Thomas Headon.
The accompanying music video was directed by Euan Sime and Thomas Headon.
Thomas Headon said of the song, “[It's] this big mess of anxiety and overwhelming stress that I was feeling. It's basically this big mess of anxiety and overwhelming stress that I was feeling, with it now being the perfect way to sum up how much I've been operating on autopilot for a while and ignoring the clear signs my brain was telling me to stop. I worked with Stephen Barnes on this song and it feels like the best way to begin again.”- He shared on social media, “Five years ago I moved to London to start making music. I have been so lucky to do this as a job and travel the world playing my songs, but during that time I didn't step off the train once. Earlier this year, I experienced some challenges of being in my 20's and decided I needed to take some time away to recalibrate. I've been operating on autopilot since covid began, and during my time off I've realised I need to change my relationship to the online world and how I make music. Instead, I've taken the time to connect and spend time with my friends, reflect and remind myself of why I love doing what I do and most importantly take care of myself. I've now been able to create music that comes from an authentic place. New stuff is on the way soon, I hope it connects with you in a way that they helped me reconnect with myself.”
