Ocean Alley Returns with New Song “Tangerine”
Australian psychedelic rock band Ocean Alley, consisting of Baden Donegal (vocals/guitar), Angus Goodwin (lead guitar), Lach Galbraith (keyboard/vocals), Mitch Galbraith (guitar), Nic Blom (bass) and Tom O'Brien (drums), returned with a new song “Tangerine” on October 9, 2024.
The song is their first music in two years since the 2022 album “Low Altitude Living”.
This time, the band teamed up with producer Nick Didia on the track for the first time.
The accompanying music video was directed by Jamieson Kerr.
The clip was shot in Billings, Montana, on the way from Denver to Calgary during their North American tour.
The band lead singer Baden Donegal said of the song, “We drove across the Nullarbor with our wives and dogs. The long straight roads, the isolation and the different landscapes were intense and amazing. There was such contrast between the red dirt and crystal blue ocean. Seeing parts of the desert and sunsets on that commute, the sky turning orange, or tangerine, is what really inspired this song.”- Photo by Jamieson Kerr
