The Dream Eaters Releases New Song “CRUCIFIXXX”
Brooklyn-based dream pop duo The Dream Eaters, consisting of Elizabeth LeBaron (vocals) and Jake Zavracky (singer-songwriter), released their brand new single called “CRUCIFIXXX” on October 4, 2024.
Originally, the duo recorded the original version of the song as “Crucifix” on their 2018 album Pagan Love”.
Also, Jake Zavracky has produced several versions of the song with various artists.
But he has never felt he got it quite right. This time, the duo re-recorded the song as “CRUCIFIXXX”.
The track was written and produced by Jake Zavracky.
Elizabeth LeBaron spoke the song is about the loneliness and hopelessness she felt when her life was a mess.
Elizabeth LeBaron said, “I can only go up from here. I think that's reflected in the music too, with its ascending theme - you start at the low point and go up from there.”- She continued, “This song makes me feel like I'm at absolute rock bottom. It's the moment of self-realization: 'lookin around these ruins...' and the frustration of having someone ask you how you are, hit on you even, when you're clearly falling apart.”
