808 BEACH Teams Up with Amy Douglas for Debut Song “WHATEVER DADDY SAYS”
New York-London based production duo 808 BEACH teamed up with Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Amy Douglas to release their debut song “WHATEVER DADDY SAYS” on October 8, 2024.
808 BEACH is a new project by New York-based producer Bill Coleman and London-based producer John “J-C” Carr.
This marks the first time Bill Coleman, John “J-C” Carr, and Amy Douglas have worked together.
The track was written by Amy Douglas, Angelo Pepe Skordos, Bill Coleman, and John Carr. Produced by Amy Douglas, 808 BEACH, and Peace Bisquit.
Bill Coleman said of the song, “'Whatever Daddy Says' is our empowering nu disco, electro stomp of a tune that is designed to make you feel good and self assured from the moment you hear it. There's an obvious forthright sexiness to Amy Douglas's potent delivery and tongue-in-cheek lyricism but 'DADDY' is also that genderless higher power and inner strength that pushes us to be carefree, unapologetic and unbothered.
