Shriya Releases New Song “Her”
Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Shriya released a new song “Her” on October 4, 2024.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut EP, which is expected to be released later this year.
The track delves into the deep emotions and complex feelings of heartache and trust, expressing the universal pain of betrayal.
She wrote the song when she was just 16, and crafted it to heal from the shattered trust following her first experience with a broken heart.
The track was written by Shriya, and produced by Yohan Marshall.
Shriya said of the song, “In life, we’ve all experienced someone we love, breaking our trust in different ways. Whether it’s as a child when your mom lied to you about buying you candy, or in a relationship when you find out about your partner’s infidelity, similar to in this song.”- Shriya shared on social media, “Creating this song has been an incredible journey. It all began when I was 16, after my first heartbreak. I needed an outlet for my feelings, and music became that escape. I reached out toYohan Marshall to collaborate and produce this track. There’s nothing quite like seeing your vision come to life. I started with just a demo of rough piano and vocals, but Yohan elevated it to a whole new level!!”
